Areas of Work
My work focuses on how organizations use research, evaluation, relationships, and community knowledge to strengthen strategy, guide decisions, and advance meaningful change. Across sectors and settings, four areas shape my leadership, practice, and scholarship.
Evaluation & Learning Strategy
I develop research, evaluation, and learning approaches that help organizations understand what is changing, why it matters, and what they should do next. My work connects rigorous mixed-methods inquiry with strategy, organizational learning, and decision-making across philanthropic, governmental, public health, and community settings.
Community Engagement & Participatory Practice
A central focus of my work is understanding what meaningful engagement looks like in research and evaluation. I build structures that enable communities to meaningfully influence research, evaluation, and organizational decisions. Using participatory and culturally responsive approaches, I help create roles for communities in defining questions, interpreting evidence, shaping strategy, and determining what happens next.
Systems Change, Networks & Implementation
I examine how relationships, networks, organizational context, and implementation conditions shape change across programs and systems. Drawing on implementation science, social network analysis, systems thinking, and mixed methods, I help organizations understand how change happens, where progress may be constrained, and what supports implementation and sustainability.
Evidence to Action
I help organizations translate research, evaluation findings, and community knowledge into decisions about strategy, programs, policy, and investment. This includes translating cross-sector evidence on economic mobility into practical frameworks, as well as a broader body of work focused on dissemination, implementation, policy-relevant research, and applied evaluation.
Across all four areas, I am passionate about transforming how knowledge gets interpreted, who participates in making meaning from it, and how it ultimately shapes decisions and systems.
